It shall be the duty of the city judge of the city to keep such docket as is required by law for Justices of the Peace in Montana, to hear all cases that may be instituted in the city court under the ordinances of the city, to pay over all fines collected for the violation thereof to the city treasurer monthly or oftener if required by order of the council.
